Summer Wednesdays Concert Series: The Working Poets
July 21
07:00 PM - 09:00 PM

California State University, San Bernardino will once again host its free Summer Wednesdays Concert Series.
The shows will take place in the Lower Commons for four consecutive weeks and will start at 7 p.m. Most performances will last approximately two hours and conclude by 9 p.m. Admission to the concerts is free, and parking is complimentary in Lot D. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs, blankets and love of music.

On July 21, CSUSB welcomes The Working Poets. According to Rob McLeod, lead vocalist and guitar player for The Working Poets, “We’re all about great vocals and singing.”  That’s what makes this three-piece trio so much fun.  The band’s repertoire includes American classic rock, blues and country.  Tunes by America, Neil Young, The Beatles, Elvis, CCR, Dylan, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Johnny Cash, Eddie Rabbitt and Jimmy Buffett are among the many selections on the band’s song list.  Michael Cappetta, bassist, and Kevin O’Neal, drummer, round out the band with many years of experience and road miles under their belts from playing locally and nationally.  Among the songs that figure to get the crowd on its feet to dance the night away are “Knocking on Heaven’s Door,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Brick House,” “Cheap Sunglasses,” and “Rock Around the Clock.”  Visit the group’s website for more information.

The Summer Wednesdays Concert Series is sponsored by Cal State San Bernardino’s President’s Office, the Santos Manuel Student Union, Coussoulis Arena, academic computing and media services, the music department, the College of Extended Learning, and the San Bernardino Sun newspaper.
